Community›Forums›General Dentistry›I had a root canal surgery ( on my right tooth) done around 20 years back and as the surgery was not done properly so bacterial infection occurred around that tooth.Recently I had a lot of pain around that tooth and dentist prescribed me antibiotics which took away the pain but the dentist also advised that there seems to be significant bone mass loss and I need a consultation as in what is the best course of action to take? Can you pls advice?
If tooth has infection and due to that significant bone loss is happen than we can not save tooth. in that condition extraction followed by dental implant is ideal solution.
