Community Forums Orthodontic Dentistry Hello doctor, I am 22 years old. I am undergoing a treatment of braces. My doctor told me that i have impacted canines in upper jaw. So doctor has suggested to pull it out with braces. So please tell me is it possible just to with braces? Or do i need any surgery?

Yes it is possible with the braces if bone covering is not much around the impacted teeth. In some cases, We need to expose the teeth with the laser or minor surgical procedure. So that we can put the braces on the tooth and we can pull it to its original position.
