Generally, after extraction artificial teeth are replaced with empty space. If she has not replaced with anything( artificial teeth) then may be it is empty space with gums. Gums is the soft tissue. Sometimes when hard food hit the gums , that time it cause pain near that area. you can consult your Dentist and he/she will prescribe gel for gum massage.
