    Community Forums General Dentistry I have jaw pain. I do not have teeth pain. What could be the reason for that?

      Accidental injury to the jaw or muscles can cause jaw pain. The habit of clenching can strain the muscles of the jaw and pain can radiate to the jaw. If you have a clenching habit then you should wear a nightguard.
